u.s. may drone strike mexico
The Trump Administration is considering drone strikes against the Mexican drug cartels as part of the effort to combat drug trafficking at the US-Mexico Border (according to MSN, NBC). Reportedly, the strikes could include targeting of cartel figures and their logistical networks, with the cooperation of the Mexican government.
Again, according to MSN/NBC, there is a potential of a “covert operation” where the strikes may take place without the consent of the Mexican government – as a “last resort”. The potential target list most likely could include cartel operatives, vehicles, warehouses and other parts of the gangs’ network, MSN stated.
Trump administration officials and nominees have repeatedly refused to rule out drone strikes in public statements.

Dating to the 1980s, American presidents have turned to law enforcement agencies, the CIA and the military to work with Mexican authorities to battle cartels. But the results have been mixed and often marked by accusations in both countries.
